Indian Cricket

Haven't typed down for quite sometime.

Being more of an avid watcher on what plays an important role in our day to day lives than others, cricket has always taken a back seat. However, being an Indian, cricket rules our lives too. It has emotions percolating deep into our bones.
Honestly, I've found more avid followers of the game in my workspace since India started losing against England this year in the test matches and even more as India started losing against Australia. I didn't find much of voices following in the game when India won the World Cup. Probably they've been in their deep 'slumber'.

However, today I watched a talk show on NDTV.I've attached a link for others to see.
I was strangely watching Niranjan Shah (BCCI chief) responding to questions. It seems quite an honest admission now, this is more than a game. It's a money making machine. Unfortunately, the brandnames which have been the money making machine for the Indian Board are performing poorly. The brandnames still needs to be milked according to the board.

No purists in the game around the globe would support the move. But, money speaks.

We're in dangeer. Lover of the game are denied by the Indian Board of Cricket Control a fair chance to love the sport.
